2016 Coachella: The Sheer Blouse That's Everything But A Festival Cliché
Sheer is the fresh, modern and subtly sexy way to do festival wear. Whether flashing a chiffoned arm, translucent midriff or organza’d thigh, this is how to look cool, rather than OTT sexy.
Just ask Laura Whitmore who offered up a whisper of barely-sheathed torso through the floaty silk-chiffon of her Paige Denim blouse. Covered in a floral print with a sash at the neckline and flattering curved hem, it’s the centre point of a whimsically ’70s-esque outfit.
Admittedly, sheer anywhere other than a Californian festival is a hard sell, but there is a way to do it on a more low-key scale. Layering is the key here — add a slinky tee underneath to make it work appropriate or choose a ladylike blouse with sheer panels. It makes a pretty sweet statement.
