Make Like Paddington Bear In A Duffle
It’s not often that you think of Paddington Bear as a style icon, but when it comes to the humble duffel coat, it seems he was perfectly on trend. Just ask Suki Waterhouse who was a toggled pioneer during London Fashion Week.
The model-turned-actress arrived at the Burberry show looking charming in a duffle – but this isn’t any old duffle, no siree. This duffle is made of satin and silk, making it ultra-luxurious and fit for the front row. Suki played up to the school girl geekiness by adding a pair of specs by Shamballa Eyewear and tomboyish rucksack, which make the look all the cooler.
Considering the Burberry show is the hottest ticket in town, Suki didn’t go full-on low-key. She balanced the practicality with prettiness thanks to a glimpse of a French lace skirt beneath her coat. Yep, warmth and chicness can go together.
If you’re over furry coats and bored of shearling, the duffle is a great alternative and it’s easy peasy if you want to dress it up. Plus, you don’t have to spend big bucks to channel the trend. If it’s good enough for Suki, it’ll work for me.
